Why are these belts more expensive than others?
These belts are completely Handmade and handcrafted in a Moroccan studio using the same techniques as real gold and silver. We use real copper as a basis, which then is professionally gilded with gold, also Nḥess mchellal النّحاس مْشَلَّل mentioned. In addition, we process genuine emerald and ruby stones, who not glued but set, a traditional technique that requires a great deal of craftsmanship. This all results in a luxurious, durable, and authentic finish that is incomparable to mass-produced jewelry or other belts.
What material are they made of and where are they produced?
- Material: high quality solid copper, gold-plated, of real gemstones (emerald and ruby).
- Stone setting: stones are set by hand, not glued.
- Production: each piece is made in a small-scale studio in Morocco by experienced craftsmen specializing in traditional metalwork using the same finishes and techniques as real gold and silver.
Do they change color?
Thanks to the gold gilding the chance of discoloration is very small to non-existent.
